Eating out

Duane and I determined that we were spending WAY too much money on eating out. He would eat lunch out a few times during the week, and we would eat dinner out at least once a week.

We cut back this month, quite successfully! We have had two lunches out (together), and 4 dinners (2 being under $10). When you don't eat out as much, you don't crave it. I have been cooking some fabulous dinners. It requires a little more preparation and work, but makes you feel pretty good about yourself.

We have been averaging 2-3 times/week at the gym. It is supposed to be 4 times/week, so we have to work on that.

Duane already looks skinnier! Yeah Duane!

The traumatization of Duane

You know, this blog is titled "Life with Duane". It seems that I should talk about Duane more.

He was traumatized this morning by a (dog)poop explosion. I fear that he will never be able to change diapers. The explosion was my fault. I had to rush out yesterday morning, and usually I walk the dogs. I let Brisco out, but he doesn't usually poop till after the walk. I ended up being gone all day, which was not the plan. When you gotta go, you gotta go. At least it was done on a cement floor.

A side note to Cate: Just remember that you are fabulous! Don't let school make you anxious, you can do anything.

A side note to myself: I have to remember that I am a fabulous real estate salesperson!

Underworld: Evolution

Duane and I saw this movie last night on the Ultrascreen (a giant screen as the name suggests). I thought it was great. I thought it was true to the first movie and I enjoyed the plot and action. I love these kinds of movies though and don't get caught up in the technicalities of the story.

Weekend was good. I did an open house on Saturday and no one came. I thought it would be slow, but didn't think it would be dead.

I visited with my aunt and uncle on Sunday at their new condo. They have a great place!

I have a showing this afternoon! I need to work on getting a listing to meet my monthly goal.

I am putting together a 1st time homebuyer's presentation. Please help me out by leaving any questions/suggestions in the comments section.

I don't know why

I don't know why when I view my blog with internet explorer the posts are way down from the heading. When I view it with mozilla, the posts are up at the top like they should be. Anyone know why?

Playing euchre

One of my personal goals this year is to get out of the house more. Duane and I tend to be homebodies, but we enjoy ourselves when we go out.

We played euchre recently at our gym. They have a euchre night once a month. We didn't quite realize how cut throat it was! I was fun though. The only people we didn't like were some crotchy blue hairs that I swear were cheating. I think it would be fun to organize something like this with our friends, something to think about.

We are also planning on joining a bowling league. Bowling leagues can be great fun. We are looking for a fourth person, so hopefully we can find someone to commit.

New Years Eve party

The party turned out pretty awesome, even though I was vacuuming at the last minute and Duane was plumbing the sink.

I made some awesome champagne cocktails and that is what I drank all night. No hangover at all! I should drink good champagne all the time!

Duane's card table and chairs were a big hit and everyone had a good time. The food was excellent as well. I made an extra meat lasagna (1lb ground turkey plus 3 links of hot italian turkey sausage) that was so good! I also made a spinach lasagna that was tasty as well.

Ummmm......

Yeah, it is me again. I haven't posted pictures of the bathroom because I don't like the color on the walls. It has to be fabulouso before I post it. I am painting the color I orginally wanted to paint it, but talked myself out of it. Instead of bathroom pictures you will see Christmas pictures!

I haven't loaded my mp3 player yet. Seems kind of daunting to get all my music in some kind of order on the computer.

Real estate is still going. No cash flow yet, but some promising things. The market is starting to pick back up again.

I am going to Mazatlan in February for my sister's wedding. My older brother and sister are going as well as my parents. Should be fun!

I am really looking forward to visiting Columbia, MO though!!
